Karen Huger made a dramatic comeback The Real Housewives of Potomac on Sunday January 25.
The closing minute of rope season 10 episode 16 showed the moment Karen, 62, was released from prison on September 2, 2025, after serving six months on charges including a DUI and a DWI after a Car accident in March 2024.
Bravo cameras caught the moment Karen left the Montgomery County Detention Center in Maryland last September after serving six months of a one-year prison sentence. (She was sentenced to two years with one year suspended in February 2025.)
The footage showed Karen leaving the facility wearing sunglasses, a scarf around her hair, a white blazer, a light blue button down shirt and blue jeans. Karen was seen getting into a waiting vehicle. Once inside, the Grand Lady of Potomac appeared excited, took off her glasses, and settled in, as the car took off. The episode closed with Karen joining her hands in prayer.

Karen will sit down for an exclusive interview with rope executive producer and host of the meeting Andy Cohen in the season 10 finale, which will air on Sunday, February 1.
A preview of the season finale shows the moment Karen returns home from prison. In the clip, she can be seen running into her daughter’s arms, Rayvinthat she is delighted to see her mother. The preview then cuts to 57-year-old Andy arriving at the Huger home, where he is greeted by Karen’s husband, Rayaged 79, before sitting down with Karen.

Andy is seen peppering Karen with questions such as: “What was your cell like?” and informed him that: “There were viewers who think you should not return to this platform.”
“Do you think you have a problem with alcohol? Do you consider yourself an alcoholic?” Andy asks in the dramatic teaser.
Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy CohenAndy and rope star Stacey Rusch teased Karen’s interview at the end, with Stacey praising Andy for asking Karen some tough questions.
“I was shocked when I saw it, because it was so raw,” the former QVC host he said. “Every question you asked was literally the questions I had in mind and wanted to know.”
Over the years, the Real Housewives of Potomac series has parted ways with several cast members. Viewers said goodbye to Monique Samuels after her altercation with Candiace Dillard-Bassett during Season 5 made her reconsider her time on the show. “I’ve been in touch with Karen and we’ve talked about different things, but all you talked about were real, raw questions,” Stacey continued.
He concluded: “I applaud her because she was so brave to answer them. And the answers literally knocked me off my feet.”
In December 2024, Karen was found guilty on DUI and DWI charges, and other charges, after an incident in Potomac, Md., earlier that year. She reported to prison after being sentenced in February 2025.
“While we are disappointed by the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time to hear our case,” Karen’s attorney said. A. Scott Boldeno, he said people in a statement of the moment. “We continue to reserve Ms. Huger’s right to an appeal and intend to fully seek justice on her behalf. We appreciate your support and prayers for Ms. Huger and her family at this time.”
After his release from prison last September, Karen made an appearance at November’s BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas and will also appear in the rope season 10 reunion.
