Kelly Dodd he’s had some ups and downs with his family over the years.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum, who starred on the Bravo show from Season 11 to Season 15, was born in 1975 in Scottsdale, Arizona, to parents. Frank Meza i Bobbi Meza. He has two brothers: JR Meza i Eric Meza.
After his marriage to Scott Silva from 2001 to 2004, Kelly moved on Michael Dodd and the couple married in 2006. They welcomed a daughter, Jolie Doddin 2006 before finally divorce in 2018. (Kelly later married Rick Leventhal in 2020.)
Although Kelly’s relationship with her family has been tumultuous at times, the Bravo personality made headlines in November 2025 after a alleged voicemail Kelly left for Jolie it went viral.
While it’s unclear when the message was sent, the voicemail was allegedly for one of Jolie’s friends to pass on to Jolie after her daughter blocked her “from all over.”
“You just opened a Pandora’s box Jolie. I have tapes of you, yelling at your dad for not taking you on vacation, yelling that he didn’t buy you a car,” Kelly told the voice memo images which went viral on social media. “Remember those recordings I saved? I have them and I’m going to make them public. Do you understand?”
While Kelly has yet to say anything about the leaked voicemail, her younger brother, Eric, claimed in one social media video that he was happy that the “truth prevailed”.

During season 14 of RHOCKelly shared that there was a rift between her, Bobbi and Eric after they lived at Kelly’s house in the OC.
“My mom was telling my brother sensitive information and then it was causing problems,” Kelly explained The RHOCs season 14 “After Show” in December 2019.
However, in late 2019, Kelly revealed that things were “really good” between her mother and Eric.
“I’m on really good terms with my brother and my mom,” he shared with her Entertainment tonight in September 2019. “What’s really good about the show is that it really brought my mom and brother (and me) back together.”
Almost six years later, Eric alleged on social media that “no one talks to” Kelly, including her mother and father, who Eric said Kelly was a “horrible daughter.”
“I don’t talk to her, her nieces and nephews don’t talk to her, her mom doesn’t talk to her,” Eric shared in several social media videos in August 2025. “That’s self-explanatory. Doesn’t that tell you something about somebody?”

In response to Eric’s claims, Kelly shared a video of herself calling her father.
“He said you said I’m a terrible daughter and that I’m the worst person on the face of this earth,” she said by phone, adding that she knows “why mom doesn’t talk to me, it’s because of him.”
“He’s so full of shit,” Frank responded in the video before noting that Eric is “worse than shit” and that he’s “sick.”
Above the video posted via Instagram, Kelly wrote: “My brother is a psycho! His dad can’t stand him!”

“Kelly begged me and my mom to move into her house when Bravo hired her because our family was part of a package,” Eric said in an interview with AllAboutTheTea.com in September 2018. “The only reason she got on the show was because Bravo interviewed me and my mom for five hours, and they were sold on our unique family dynamic. That’s the only reason we moved in with her, not because we needed a place to stay.”

Eric alleged that he moved him and his mother out of Kelly’s home because Kelly was abusing Bobbi “mentally, emotionally and physically.”
After Eric’s allegations, Kelly said that initially Eric and his mother were only supposed to stay at her house for a few months, which “turned into a year and a half.”
“I felt like my mom and Eric were taking advantage of me, and that made my mom and I fight a lot. They moved to Arizona,” she shared on an episode of RHOC in September 2019.
Things were apparently going well between Eric and Kelly until he claimed on social media in August 2025 that “no one talks” to Kelly in his family and that Kelly is a “terrible mother”.
Kelly denied the claims with her father in an Instagram story, claiming that Eric is “so full of shit.”
Meanwhile, after Kelly’s alleged voicemail to Jolie was released in November 2025, Eric revealed via social media videos that he was glad the “truth prevailed”.

Although Eric noted that “it’s pretty incomprehensible” why he would say such things to Jolie, who has been trying to “tell everyone” what Kelly is like for years.
“She’s been projecting this onto me, trying to make me look like the bad guy, but we all know who the real bad guy is. So the truth comes out,” he alleged, adding that Kelly has “some serious issues” and was “severely mentally ill.”

Kelly was married to a lawyer in Arizona Scott Silva from 2001 to 2004.
Michael Dodd
After her divorce from Silva, Kelly moved on Michael Dodd. The couple married in 2006 before welcoming their daughter, Jolie, that same year. Although the couple split briefly in 2012, they rekindled their romance until 2017, when Kelly revealed she planned to divorce Michael.
“Our marriage is over, I’m out of there!” Kelly told him Daily Mail in an interview published in September 2017. “We’ve had problems for years and I’ve had enough. I’m done with our marriage. It’s just a case of two people not getting along. It’s best that we separate and focus on our daughter.”

In November 2025, video footage of a purported voice message Kelly sent to Jolie’s friend after her daughter blocked her “from everything” was leaked.
“You just opened a Pandora’s box Jolie. I have recordings of you, yelling at your dad for not taking you on vacation, yelling that he didn’t buy you a car,” Kelly said in the voicemail. “Remember those recordings I saved? I have them and I’m going to make them public. Do you understand?”
Kelly went on to express her disdain that Jolie would do this “after buying you a car, paying for your college, paying for your health insurance, taking you to the doctors, getting you all the clothes, I did all of that.”
“Meanwhile, your dad was being a fucking loser and putting those three kids before you,” he said. “I have all of that, so what you just did right now, you’re going to look like a fool, you silly girl. You’re stupid, okay? To even think you’re going to win.”
Kelly noted that his criminal defense attorney “was laughing at you.”
“You’re a joke and so is your father. And to even side with him after what he’s done to you since 7th grade is crazy,” Kelly stated.
Kelly has yet to make a statement following the leaked footage.
