RHOBH’s Amanda Frances breaks her silence on past DUI and arrest


The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Amanda Frances spoke candidly about his past DUI, which occurred “almost 10 years ago” in 2016.

“It was removed,” he said of his legal problem during an interview with Access Hollywoodof “Housewives night cap” podcast on Friday, January 30, revealing what led to his now-dismissed Driving Under the Influence charge.

“I didn’t leave the parking lot,” Amanda, 41, explained. “I tried to pull my car out of a parking lot.” The Bravo personality pointed out that there was a door and he didn’t want his car stuck behind it.

“And a guy who had been hitting on me all night and flirting with me and trying to get my attention was like ‘you shouldn’t be driving…’ And I was like, ‘I’m just trying to move my car.’ Anyway, I got blocked. I couldn’t move the car. There were cars all over me. I couldn’t get out, so I called an Uber,” she added. “I went outside and as I was grabbing the door handle of the Uber, a cop tapped me on the shoulder and said, ‘That guy says you were drinking and driving.’ I said, ‘I tried to move my car.’ I was honest, I had nothing to hide.”

The officer eventually arrested Amanda after she admitted to trying to move his car while allegedly under the influence.

During her interview, Amanda also reflected on her two-year involvement with a church she described as “very controlling” and “very manipulative,” noting that the religious organization fits the description of a cult.

The reality star said she launched a blog at the same time as her business venture. Her first entry in October 2015 detailed her cult experience and how she came to terms with her decision to join when the signs were there. (Amanda is a women’s empowerment coach and author of the best-selling book Rich as F*ckpublished December 2020. He also teaches online courses on financial planning and hosts the podcast “And She Rises”.)

“All my life, I’ve written about what was real and true to me,” she explained of her blog post.

Amanda shed more light on her experience in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly while promoting RHOBA15th season.

“I have two Bible school degrees. I have a ministerial training degree, and then my high school degree is also from a religious college,” he said. “Between ministerial training school and high school, I was, for two years, very involved in a church that I consider a cult.”

She continued: “It fits all the criteria for a cult. It fits all the criteria for religious abuse. That’s what it was to me.”

“It was never a secret,” Amanda pointed out we. “The cult story is no secret. Everyone in my audience, in my communitythe women in my courses have always known this story. So when he pulls it out like it’s dirt, it makes me really weird. Because it’s not dirt.”
