Residents without power as Russia targets Ukraine’s power grid




During the night on Sunday, Russia targeted the energy infrastructure in the Odesa region, the Ukrainian emergency service announced. A fire broke out, which was immediately extinguished. At least six people were wounded in the Dnipropetrovsk region in Russian attacks, the emergency services announced. Russia has been hitting Ukraine’s power grid, especially in winter, during the nearly four-year war. The strikes are aimed at weakening the will of Ukrainians to resist a strategy Kiev officials call “weaponization of winter.”
