
British police have opened a criminal investigation into former British ambassador to the United States, Peter Mandelsohn, following reports that the veteran Labor politician may have shared market-sensitive information with Jeffrey Epstein several years ago. Prime Minister Keir Starmer dismissed Mendelsohn from his ambassadorship in September over his links to Epstein, and Mendelsohn has since resigned from the Labor Party, announcing on Sunday that he would also step down from the House of Lords.
