Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation to join the United States. “Peace Council” For Gaza, the Kremlin announced on Monday.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was studying the details of a bid to join the peace council established by US President Donald Trump late last year. The “peace council” is seen as a means of maintaining the fragile cease-fire between Israel and Hamas and overseeing the reconstruction of Gaza after the protracted conflict.
“President Putin received an offer through diplomatic channels to join this Peace Council. We are now studying all the details of this offer,” he said. Peskov told TASS state news agency.
“We hope to contact the US side to clarify all the details,” he added.
Trump invited a number of world leaders, including Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and himself Argentine President Javier Maileto join the Peace Council for Gaza, which is part of the wider Peace Council, Bloomberg reported on Saturday.
Several other countries including Hungary, India, Jordan, Greece, Cyprus and Pakistan Confirmed the invitation of the Peace CouncilAP News reported on Sunday.

On Saturday, the US also announced the names of the council’s “founding executive council”, which includes former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. among others.
