Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he in principle agreed to the American proposal for the 30-day truce in Ukraine, but noted that the potential agreement was needed in his current audit. Putin especially pointed out his goal to regain the region of Kursk in Southeast Russia, which captured the Ukrainian troops last summer, before the truce was accepted. The Russian leader posed that Ukraine could use a break as an opportunity to regroup.
