A location in Rio Rico, Arizona, is subject to a “court-authorized search” in connection with the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping investigation.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared a statement with Us Weekly late on Tuesday, February 10, this confirmed that the search was “assisted by the FBI’s Evidence Response Team.”
The statement continued: “This operation is expected to last several hours. No further details are available at this time.”
Rio Rico is approximately 60 miles south of the Catalina Foothills, where Savannah GuthrieHis 84-year-old mother resides and was last seen. Rio Rico is also north of the US-Mexico border.

The search was revealed just hours after the Sheriff’s Department confirmed that one person was there arrested in relation to Nancy’s disappearance. Sheriff Chris Nanos shared via an X post, “Today, officers with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrested a subject during a traffic stop in south Tucson.”
The statement continued: “The issue is currently being questioned in connection with the Nancy Guthrie investigation.”

Authorities have not confirmed any details about the identity of the person arrested, including the person’s gender.

The statement continued: “Working with our partners, as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered this new previously inaccessible footage showing an armed individual who appears to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door on the morning of her disappearance.”
