Police search for Rio Rico location related to Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping


A location in Rio Rico, Arizona, is subject to a “court-authorized search” in connection with the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping investigation.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department shared a statement with Us Weekly late on Tuesday, February 10, this confirmed that the search was “assisted by the FBI’s Evidence Response Team.”

The statement continued: “This operation is expected to last several hours. No further details are available at this time.”

Sheriff Chris Nanos shared via an X post, “Today, officers with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department arrested a subject during a traffic stop in south Tucson.”

The statement continued: “The issue is currently being questioned in connection with the Nancy Guthrie investigation.”

Authorities have not confirmed any details about the identity of the person arrested, including the person’s gender.
