Between his powerful voice and his impressive aerial acrobatics, rose he’s a force to be reckoned with, but off the stage, he’s faced his share of health battles.
The “Who Knew” singer canceled two performances in Tacoma, Washington in October 2023, citing “family medical issues” that needed her “immediate attention” via an Instagram statement.
Pink (whose real name is Alecia Moore) didn’t specify what the situation was, but days later she postponed two additional shows in Vancouver, Canada, due to a respiratory infection.
“I have been advised by my doctor that I cannot perform at the Vancouver shows on Friday and Saturday,” he wrote via Instagram.

April 2020

Pink revealed that she and her then 3-year-old son, Jamesonwhich she shares with her husband Carey Harthad recently tested positive for COVID-19. (The duo also share daughter Willowwho they hosted in 2011.)
During a live Instagram chat with her friend and author Pastiloff onlyPink said she and Jameson had been “very, very sick” and she “he never prayed more in my life”.
Later that month, he also spoke with the Grammy winner Ellen DeGeneres about the experience. “It was terrifying at one point,” Pink told the talk show host during the virtual chat. “I’ve had really, really bad asthma to the point where I sometimes end up in the hospital. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t breathe. I needed my nebulizer for the first time in 30 years. I couldn’t function without it. That’s when I got really scared.”
Pink later revealed that she he rewrote his will when he got the virus.
“It was very, very bad … I thought it was over for us,” he said during a May 2021 appearance at Radio of the heart show “I called my best friend and said, ‘I just need you to tell Willow how much I love her.’

Pink recovered from COVID, but the virus was not the last fear of health faced in 2020.
“As if surviving covid wasn’t enough for this year old poo sandwich!” the Pennsylvania native captioned a photo of herself in a doctor’s office. “Well, I got my stitches out after drying off that glass of wine, it was fine. Then I recovered from my first staph infection for no reason (shout for help?) (my right knee was alone?) so I thought I was going to break my ankle!”
Pink added that she would he injured his ankle as he “ran down the stairs.”
November 2021

The “So What” singer opened up about his ongoing recovery from hip surgery.
“It was a brutal first week full of tears and pain and depression and med ulcers and constant fevers,” Pink wrote via Instagram earlier. thanking her husband to take good care of her. “She brought me coffee in the shower, carried my 100-pound CPM contraptions everywhere, dried my tears, cooked me oatmeal, kept track of my meds, got my phone charger, hooked up my compression machines, took my temperature, made my bed, and talked me through it.”
Pink added that it was “humbling for a very independent person like me to become physically disabled and dependent,” but said she was “learning the gift of accepting help.”

In addition to sharing updates on her physical well-being, Pink has also been candid about herself mental health.
“It used to be really awful panic attacks and I didn’t know what was going on. I didn’t have anyone to talk to about it and I didn’t know what to do,” she shared in an Instagram video. “I would feel like I was having a stroke, like stroke symptoms, it was terrifying.”
The performer noted that after “a few EKGs” showed there was nothing physically wrong with her, she began to strengthen her “spiritual toolbox” to deal with panic attacks.
“I started seeing a therapist and then I started doing all these things,” she said, mentioning “women-only full moon ceremonies” and meditation. “I started learning all these steps on how to take care of myself. I had never been taught how to take care of myself.”

Pink said variety that she gained 36 pounds during the COVID-19 lockdown and I struggled to lose it immediately due to “not just the hip surgery, but the double disc replacement in my neck.”
Despite the long recovery process, the songwriter said she felt like the “bionic woman” after the operation and has since lost weight. “I’m stronger than I’ve ever been in my life,” he said.

Days after canceling two Tacoma, Washington shows due to “family medical issues,” Pink postponed two additional shows in Vancouver, Canada due to a health crisis of her own.
“I am deeply sorry to share that I have a respiratory infection and have been informed by my doctor that I cannot perform at the Vancouver shows on Friday and Saturday,” he wrote via Instagram. “Live Nation is working on new dates to reschedule the shows. I can’t wait to perform in Vancouver and put on an amazing show for everyone. In the meantime, I wish everyone good health and lots of love. xoxo Pink.”

Pink looked back near-fatal overdose he was 16 years old.
“Thanksgiving 1995, I was at a rave and I overdosed,” he recalled during a 60 minutes interview “I was in – oh boy – ecstasy, angel dust, crystal, all kinds of things.”
The pop star shared that the experience convinced her to stop doing drugs. “Then I went out,” he said. “Done. Too much.”
Pink also opened up about the circumstances that led her to “go off the rails” as a teenager.
“Basically, I grew up in a house where every day my parents yelled, threw things at each other, hated each other, and then I got into drugs,” he explained. “I was selling drugs. And then I got kicked out of the house. I dropped out of high school.”

Pink headlined when she abruptly canceled a concert. He hinted that the reason was his health, but did not specify what happened.
“I’m so sorry I had to cancel my show in Bern this Wednesday,” he wrote via social media in July 2024. “I’m doing everything I can to make sure I can perform for you every night, but after consulting with my doctor and exploring all available options, I’ve been advised that I can’t continue with the show tomorrow.”
Alongside the message, Pink shared a black-and-white photo of herself on stage. “I was looking forward to being with you and making memories with you and sharing our show with you and I’m so disappointed that we have to cancel,” he concluded. “Sending love and health to you all, and I really hope to see you again soon. P!nk xoxo.”

Pink gave fans a peek how he celebrated New Year’s Eve sharing a selfie from a hospital bed. “I’m leaving all my hurt behind in 2025. This year was a mess for all of us and went from absolutely devastating to slightly annoying,” she wrote.
As she reflected on the year ahead, Pink shared that “paying attention” to her body was a major goal.
“It may not be a fancy facelift, but I’ve got two shiny new discs on my neck. A new scar, a new reminder that I’m grateful for this boat that I have and I’m using it for all it’s worth,” she added. “Rock ‘n’ roll is a contact sport. And as I sit here alone on New Year’s Eve in a hospital room while my family is happy snowboarding, I know 2026 will be better because that’s the choice I made.”
