Pulp Fiction i the mask actor Peter Greene has died. He was 60 years old.
Greene had been found dead inside his New York City apartment on Friday, December 12, his manager confirmed to multiple outlets.
According to Greene’s longtime manager, Gregg Edwardthe actor’s family has since been notified of his death.
“He was a unique individual,” Edward said The New York Daily News in a statement on Friday. “One of the most brilliant character actors on the planet. He had a really good heart. He cared about people.”

Greene was a famous character actor, most notably playing Zed in 1994 Pulp Fiction and Dorian the mask that same year
“Nobody played a villain better than Peter,” said Edward NBC news on Saturday, December 13. “But he also had, you know, a kind side that most people never saw, and a heart as big as gold.”
Edward revealed to NBC that a welfare check was conducted at Greene’s home after neighbors heard music for more than 24 hours.
The cause of death of Greene, who is survived by two brothers, has not been released.
Greene’s acting credits extend far beyond that Pulp Fiction i the mask, which covers both film and television.
“clean shave it’s my favorite thing I’ve ever done because I was immersed in a character who was struggling and you wanted to convey that,” Green said during a 2022 appearance on the channel. “The Up & Adam Show” podcast “Remember when there’s nothing to do, do nothing and the camera picks up everything. If you’re thinking, if you’re sitting, remember when Chino was doing that scene on the phone. He was thinking and everything was working in his eyes.”
He continued, “You’ll see when somebody’s doing the whole facial (expression) or you think when somebody’s really there somewhere, just go in there, have fun, be shot and don’t think about anybody else. Don’t think about what they’re thinking about you. I mean it. Go in there and remember you’re alone. That’s great.”
After Greene starred in 1993 clean shavedirector Quentin Tarantino offered him a role in the future Pulp Fiction.
“I had seen it Reservoir Dogsbut I didn’t like it that much. He wanted me to play that role,” Greene recalled in 2022, reflecting further working with Cameron Diaz in the mask “She’s really cute (and) she was like one of the guys. (Chuck Russell, the director) came up to me and said, ‘Listen, there’s no tongue or anything when you kiss her. Look at that kiss.”
In most of his roles, Greene was a fan of improvising certain scenes.
“If you want to improvise, improvise,” Greene told the podcast host Adam Lupis. “If a director doesn’t want you to improvise and be in character, then you don’t want to work with him anyway… Don’t try to act. Remember that less is more, especially on film. It’s not the stage (and) the camera captures everything.”
Following Greene’s death, several of his former colleagues and fans have offered emotional tributes via social media.
“I had the pleasure of working with Peter Greene,” the actress Monique Dupree wrote via X. “He was so good at his craft and kind to others. We had so much fun on set. RIP.”
