Paul Mescal i Gracie Abrams they started their romance with an epic summer of love, and they’re still going strong.
In between his busy schedules in 2024, he worked on the blockbuster film Gladiator II while Abrams opened for taylor swift to the eras tour: The couple found time to make a special connection.
Mescal and Abrams sparked romance rumors in June 2024 when they were spotted enjoying a meal in London. It wasn’t until the following July that Abrams apparently confirmed their relationship, posting an Instagram photo with Mescal from England’s Glastonbury Festival.
In January 2026, Abrams professed his “love” for Mescal while praising his role in Hamnetthat came out in late 2025, and even shared some behind-the-scenes photos from the film.

Let the romance rumors begin! TMZ obtained photos of Mescal and Abrams enjoying a meal together at London’s BRAT restaurant. In one image, the actor reached over during the meal and stroked Abram’s cheek.

Two months after they were first spotted, Mescal and Abrams were photographed together again in London. This time, however, they were captured holding hands. According to the Daily Mailthe duo enjoyed a shopping trip before attending the All Points East Music Festival. While enjoying Mitski’s set, the pair joined Mescal Normal People to cost Daisy Edgar-Jones and her boyfriend Ben Seed.
October 2024
When booting The secret of us tour, Abrams received some support from Mescal in the audience on October 5. according to peoplethe actor showed up at Radio City Music Hall in New York City to witness his rumored girlfriend’s set. And yes, he was seen dancing and singing during his performance.
Less than a week later, Mescal expressed his hopes of being able to keep his personal life a little more private. In an interview with GQthe actor said he has “learned that there are now certain lines in the sand for me that will only be impenetrable for the benefit of my own heart.”
“The speculation has been a little crazy for the last x years,” Mescal added about their relationship status. “I don’t feel comfortable inviting any access to that part of my life. How I am in my private life is very valuable to me because I get very little of it, and it may be in the public interest, but it’s not mandatory information for the public.”
Swifties detected Mescal attending Swift’s eras tour on Oct. 20 to see Abrams’ premiere at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida. He apparently watched the show from one of the private VIP sections on the stadium floor. Since there were no tent covers in Miami’s VIP suites, fans got a better view of who was in attendance.

Abrams supported Mescal at the premiere of his film in Los Angeles Gladiator IIaccording to social media images. They were also seen hugging at the official party.
December 2024
They did their respective Saturday night live debuts a week apart. Mescal hosted the December 7 episodewhile Abrams was the musical guest a week later. After Abrams’ performance on Dec. 14, they were spotted holding hands in New York City.
Days later, Abrams made a strange comment about his private life. “Abrams keeps it short when I ask how he’s found navigating personal relationships under this new public microscope,” nylon‘s Lauren McCarthy he wrote in an interview published on December 17. “‘This has nothing to do with me,’ he says, with a straight face. ‘It doesn’t affect me.'”

After Abrams’ set at England’s Glastonbury Festival, he shared a recap of his highlights Instagram.

At one of the climbs, Abrams took a selfie with Mescal during a beach day.

The Normal People done actor a rare comment on his love life explaining to Rolling Stone why the couple decided to be “Instagram Official” over the summer.
“I actually have an answer (as far as the timing goes) but everything that has to do with it is very valuable to me and I don’t want it… That’s not… I really don’t… umm… I want to protect these things fundamentally,” she told the outlet.

In the image, Mescal smoked a cigarette and opened his denim jacket so Abrams could properly see the witty pun on his shirt, which was a nod to his portrayal of the iconic playwright in 2025. Hamnet.
Abrams also applauded Mescal and Hamnet her co-stars in a series of Instagram Story uploads on Jan. 16, calling them all “singular.” He added: “Thank God for what they’ve done. Go see it and you’ll be better off.”
