Palantir said Thursday it has confirmed a partnership with Lumen Technologies that will see the telecom company use its data management AI software to build AI enterprise services.
The company called the agreement “a multi-year strategic strategic partnership,” but Bloomberg Reportciting an anonymous source, that Lumen will spend more than $200 million on Palantir technology over the next few years.
The agreement will see Lumen deploy its foundation and artificial intelligence platform (AIP) with its own edge computing, broadband infrastructure, and other digital services.
The partnership comes as Lumen tries to forge traditional telecom providers into the more modern technology infrastructure game. Company in September says “collaboration” with Palantir To integrate basic software and AI and the latter’s AI services into operations, finance, and technology functions, “to transform networks and services at speed.”
While lumen will not confirm the value of the deal, the spokesperson Joe Goode told techcrunch in the reduction of the company in 2025. He added that the company used in the collaboration to take the partnership for the enterprise market. Lumen has committed to cutting costs by $1 billion by 2027, and says it is already ahead of schedule.
“Palantir demonstrated a platform that works and aip can run Lumen data faster and cheaper than traditional data migration, and together we are working on a solution to help similar companies,” said Goode.
For Palantir, this is the latest in a long line of deals it has shared with companies and government organizations of all stripes to sell AI products and services. Including Deal Lumen, Palantir has struck 19 partnerships this year, across the aviation, healthcare, telecommunications, Contract Management, Defense, and Data Sectors, Defense.
