Myanmar’s military head of government says that the country will make a national election on December 2025 or January 2026.
General Min Haining said the election becomes “free and fair” – adding that 53 political party has already submitted their lists to join.
This is the first vote because his military power has gained the power of 2021 coupes, arrest and imprisonment of the leader in the Democratic Aung Sung Kyi and making an unidentified election cheating.
Since then, the country is in the riot, with protest movement against the junta that has become an armed rebellion nationwide.
Critics defines notice as a sham designed to maintain junta power through the political parties of the juntes.
The view of human rights, a NGO, speaks BBC:
“As a precursor of elections, they need to end the violence, release all those who are truly confined, and allow all political parties to register and participate instead of dissolve opposition parties.”
Military Juntta has carried out a violent cracking of rejection since taking power, Implementing Democracy activists and journalists are imprisoned.
But it struggles to have a widespread hostility involving pro-democracy and groups of ethnic rebels, and have limited control outside of major cities.
The UN, cittering assistance for political prisoners (AAPP), said in January of at least 6,231 women and 709 children, in the last four years.
Warned it in September that Myanmar “drowned in the depths of human suffering”.
