Michael McKee’s murder weapon allegedly used to kill dentist, identified on woman

According to prosecutors, Michael McKee39, allegedly used a handgun with a silencer attached in the brutal murders, according to a grand jury indictment obtained by people and published on Friday, January 16. Earlier this week, Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant he further stated that “multiple weapons” had been found on McKee’s property during a recent search.

On Friday, the former vascular surgeon was officially charged with four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated robbery.

The co-worker had grown increasingly concerned when, without warning, Spencer, 37, failed to come into work and could not be reached by phone for several hours.

The couple’s two young children and their dog were found in the house, but luckily they were unharmed in the attack.

McKee, who was married to Monique, 39, from 2015 until they filed for divorce in 2017, was arrested in connection with her death and charged with murder on January 10. Authorities were able to identify Monique’s ex as a possible suspect after he saw his vehicle arrive at Tepes’ home “just before the murders” and leave “shortly after” using neighborhood watch.

During a recent appearance at Good morning AmericaMonique’s brother-in-law, Rob MislehMcKee stated “torment” her throughout their marriage.

“Myself and many others were well aware of the negative impact he had on her. And the abuse he put her through, the torment he put her through,” she said at the time. “She was willing to do anything to get out of there.”

Another family member said they “all hoped” McKee was connected to the crimes, but waited to speak publicly about their suspicions because they “didn’t want to compromise the investigation,” according to the Daily Mail.

“We are all breathing a little relief, because they have caught him,” they added.

However, one person who was shocked by McKee’s alleged connection to the murders was his neighbor, Gera-Lind Kolarikwho said ABC 7 Chicago that hehe didn’t seem like someone who would something like that.”

“I sat down with this man and talked to him by the pool, having a barbecue, about what a beautiful day it is,” he explained, “and then he turns out to be (accused of) a murderer. It’s kind of shocking.”

On Sunday, January 11, a celebration of life was held for the Tepes.

“Spencer and Monique met online and quickly grew their relationship into a solid foundation of love and respect with a side of silliness,” her obituary read. “(They) were the life of the party, hosting many family and friend gatherings. They were generous with a kind heart. Spencer and Monique will be greatly missed by their family, friends and all who knew them.”
