Martin Llorençthe daughter of Jasmin Lawrence she is pregnant and expecting her first child Eddie Murphyson of Eric Murphy.
“Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift ❤️❤️❤️,” the couple wrote Instagram alongside Jasmin’s maternity photos on Monday 2 February. One of the photos showed Eric, 36, resting his head on Jasmin’s stomach.
Martin, 60, also shared the photos through his own Instagram page.
“What a blessing to start the day! My heart is filled with love and gratitude after the announcement of my first grandchild!” he captioned the post. “Watching @jasmin_lawrence and @ericmurphy777 begin this journey into parenthood means everything to me. Family is everything, and this moment is nothing short of a blessing from God. Welcome to the next generation!”
While Eddie, 64, has yet to publicly react to the news, he did share his thoughts on Jasmin and Eric becoming parents in July 2025.
“I’m never pushing them,” he said And! news at that time. “It’s a beautiful blessing and whenever it happens, it happens.”
News of the pregnancy comes less than a year after Jasmin, 30, and Eric tied the knot. Eddie they announced their marriage during an appearance in May 2025 The Jennifer Hudson Showrevealing that they had a small church ceremony two weeks earlier.
“They left, everyone was making big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them,” Eddie said, joking that Martin no longer had to pay for a “big wedding.”
“We’re in-laws,” Eddie said of his fellow comedian.
Eddie also said that Jasmin and Eric might have a “big party” sometime to celebrate the wedding.
During his own appearance on the talk show at the time, Martin said, “We want the best for our kids. We let them do their thing and make their decisions and stay out of their business and let them find their own way.”
While it’s unclear exactly when Eric and Jasmin started dating, the couple went public with their romance via Instagram in June 2021.
Jasmin later shared how she and Eric met in a 2022 interview In weekly contact.
“My uncle introduced us, it wasn’t even our parents,” he said at the time. “And they’ve done two movies together. They’re friends. I don’t even know, it’s crazy, but we met through my uncle and, you know, we became really good friends.”

The actress added, “Obviously, we have similar backgrounds, so we understood each other on a certain level, and over time, you know, it became more.”
Eric and Jasmin announced their engagement in November 2024, sharing a video of the sweet proposal.
“It’s beautiful! Oh my god,” Jasmin said of her engagement ring after Eric popped the question in a room decorated with candles, roses and flower petals.
Jasmin wrote via Instagram at the time: “We are engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny,” she wrote. “We couldn’t be more excited for this next chapter ❤️❤️. Special thanks to everyone who made this moment so beautiful!!”
