Marissa Springer is clarifying her relationship with the TikTok star Desmond Scott in the midst of his divorce from Kristy Scott.
“I’m going to say this once and only once. I’m not the one he cheated on,” Springer, 24, said via Instagram on Sunday, January 18, without referring to Desmond or Kristy by name. “Everybody involved in this situation knows it wasn’t me.”
Days earlier, Desmond made headlines when he was discovered kissing a mystery woman in a bar in Houston. Us Weekly confirmed that Springer was the woman in the video. she said we that Desmond was at the bar with his friends and “in a good mood”. (TMZ was the first to report the news.)
Springer claimed in Sunday’s video that she had said TMZ she did not know who Desmond was “before” and that the pair had “met that night”.
“I’m pretty sure when you meet someone at a club, you don’t question them about who they are or what their social media status is,” Springer said. “We obviously had a lot of drinks. The vibes were there, as you can see.”
She claimed: “They’re divorced. The ink is definitely dry. Most of you don’t know these people. I don’t have kids, I don’t cook, I don’t really watch family content. I’m not on that side of TikTok.”
Springer noted that she knew she was “going to get hate” whether she posted a video or not, but she wanted to “clear (her) name.”
“Again, I’m not the woman he cheated on,” Springer claimed. “Moral of the story, no one knows what goes on behind closed doors, and you should never get death threats to you or your family.”

Earlier this month, news broke that Kristy, who goes by Kristy Sarah online, filed for divorce of Desmond, citing alleged infidelity as the reason for their split. In the file obtained by weKristy noted that there is no possibility of reconciliation and that the couple would “soon cease to live together as husband and wife.” Us Weekly asked for comment at the time.
Desmond, meanwhile, broke his silence on Kristy’s divorce filing on Jan. 10. In a statement on Instagram, Desmond began by “apologising to Kristy, our family and everyone who has been affected by the public attention surrounding this situation.”
“I know this news has been disappointing to many, and I’m sorry for the hurt it’s caused,” he wrote at the time. “Kristy is the mother of my children, and that will always come first. I am fully committed to being an active, present and loving parent to our children, as I have always been.”
Desmond admitted he made “choices” he was “not proud of”.
“I took responsibility for these actions,” he wrote. “I shared this with her directly and personally, and we ultimately decided to divorce. I ask for privacy and compassion as we navigate this difficult chapter in our lives.”
Kristy has yet to publicly address Desmond’s statement or her divorce filing. Desmond and Kristy married in 2014. The exes are parents to sons Vance and Westin.
