Margot Robbie hit the UK scene with a look that was sheer, sculpted and ‘made of hair’.
The 35-year-old actress arrived in style at the London premiere of Wuthering Heights on Thursday February 5 in a nude dress as provocative as it is poetic. Robbie’s custom Dilara Findikoglu The dress hugged her figure with corset-like precision, with braided threads criss-crossing her torso, framing her bust and cinching in at her waist.
Olive colored trains feathered outwards at the shoulders and hips, making a wild and regal sartorial statement that was fabulously styled by none other than Andrew Mukamal.
From the side and back, Robbie’s floor-length number revealed its most striking detail: an exposed column traced with strands of woven hair that finished with a textured, frayed flourish at the lower back.

“It’s more of a creation. You’re not even getting the full effect of it, but it’s made of hair,” she said. Who Wears What on the red carpet.
“It’s inspired by this bracelet,” Robbie continued as he pointed to her wrist. “This is a replica of Charlotte Brontëthe bracelet which, they suspect, was woven from Anne and Emily’s hair.
As for the symbolism, Robbie said: “It was a Victorian thing to make jewelery out of loved ones’ hair.”
Robbie has been slaying the fashion game with her red carpet looks, previously dazzling in an ombré-chic Schiaparelli gown at the film’s Los Angeles premiere on January 28. It was a strapless sweetheart design with a sheer bodice embellished with black lace, also with a massive bow at the back and a cherry red midsection with a black hemline.
He also dressed the Cartier Taj Mahal necklace to which it belonged Elizabeth Taylorwhich sold for $8.8 million in 2011. The late actress previously received the gift from her husband Richard Burton for his 40th birthday in 1972.
“This necklace and the diamond itself has a pretty incredible story and it feels like a very romantic story, so it just felt right to match our Schiaparelli dress,” she said on the red carpet.
Robbie stars in the new one Wuthering Heights adaptation as Catherine Earnshaw alongside euphoria star Jacob Elordiwho plays Heathcliff in the upcoming film.
During a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!Robbie revealed that his girlfriends were practically “foam at the mouth” when he screened the film for his friends.
“They were like rabid dogs,” he said Jimmy Kimmel on the January 26 episode. “They already had a couple of drinks, and then the movie started, and they were screaming a lot.”
“And when Jacob came on screen, I think it registered on the Richter scale — they screamed really loud,” Robbie said. “Honestly, I said if he came in right now, I think he’d be eaten. So it was safer for him not to be there.”
Wuthering Heights hits theaters on Valentine’s Day on Friday, February 14.
