Al-Qaeda’s company had earlier accepted the responsibility of ‘coordinated and high-quality attacks’ in the country.
In a video statement released by the army, the armed forces of Mali have killed 80 soldiers in response to a series of simultaneous and coordinated attacks on military posts across the country.
Army spokesperson Solman Dembelle said that a special bulletin broadcast on the television channel of the armed forces, his weapons, motorcycles, and vehicles were displayed, “Significant damage to the enemy and defense for everywhere related to security forces.”
The tribe attached to Al-Qaeda Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslim (JNIM) had previously claimed the responsibility of “coordinated and high-quality attacks.”
Mali’s armed forces said the attacks took place in seven cities in the central and west of the West African country.
The incident has featured other recent operations, which has made similar attacks on military positions in Mali and Burkina Faso.
Since 9, the military government has fought for more than a decade with the violent groups associated with ISIL (ISIS) and Al Qaeda while fighting the long history of the rebellion led by Tuyarg.
The attacks on Tuesday targeted the cities near the Diaboli and the nearest Kayes and Sandrere near the West Mali near the Senegal border. The capital of Bamko, the capital of Mauritania, was also attacked in Neuro Do Sahil and Gogaui in the northwest of Bamaka, and “beatings by all shellfire” in Moordo and Nino in Central Mali.
Residents and local politicians confirmed the attacks between at least four cities.
