Lithuania accused Belarus of a “hybrid attack” on Monday after dozens of balloons filled with contraband forced the temporary closure of two airports. The NATO and EU member said the balloons, allegedly launched by Belarusian smugglers, were carrying illegal cigarettes and prompted Lithuania to close its last two border crossings with Belarus.
