Larsa Pippen shares the reality of co-parenting with ex-husband Scottie


Larsa Pippen she’s getting honest about the reality of co-parenting with her ex-husband Scottie Pippen.

The Real Housewives of Miami alum, 51, shared details about navigating parenthood with the former NBA star, 60, while speaking on the Friday, Oct. 24, episode of “I Do, Part 2” podcast.

“It’s funny because when I was going through my divorce and to this day … it’s funny because Scottie and I fight over the kids, like I show them so much love, I show them so much love,” Larsa admitted on the podcast. (Larsa and Scottie share four children: Scotty Jr.24, Preston23, justin20, and Sophia, 16.

Larsa shared that sometimes her children are caught in the middle. During the podcast, Larsa told a story about her daughter Sophia being upset because she was originally supposed to spend Thanksgiving last year with her in Miami, but Scottie wanted to take her to Arkansas to visit family for the holiday.

“And she was really upset, and I’m like, okay, go to Arkansas with your dad, like he loves you so much, he’s so proud of you, he wants to take you to visit his family,” Larsa recalled. “But I was thinking, like, I guess it’s a good problem to have your parents fight for you and love you. It’s like a good feeling, you know?”

The reality star and professional athlete married in 1997 before announcing in 2016 that they were going their separate ways after nearly two decades together.

Their divorce was finalized on December 15, 2021. Lawyer David J. Glass he said Us Weekly in a statement on January 5, 2022: “All issues were resolved amicably. The parties are now focused on successfully raising their remaining minor children.”

talking with Us Weekly that same month, Larsa got candid about what it was like going through a divorce with Scottie.

“I feel like it’s been three years. I was like, ‘Will it ever end?’ It’s the longest divorce in history,” Larsa shared exclusively with Us. “I’m glad that, you know, we’re where we are today. The divorce is over, we’re still in a great place, and our kids are grown, too.”

Despite being ready to move on at the time, Larsa confessed that she was sorry that her marriage didn’t work out for the sake of the children.

“I wish my kids had, you know, a mom and a dad in the same house. I felt guilty because I just, you know, grew up with my mom and dad,” Larsa explained to Us . “I wanted my kids to grow up like this, but as far as our relationship goes, it couldn’t be better than it is right now. To be honest with you, we’re like, in such a great place. We love each other. We’re always going to support each other. We support our kids, you know, we’re in a really good place.”
