Ex Kody Brown i Janelle Brown finished Sister Wives season 20 with a spiritual divorce — but their tension has not boiled over, at least according to the news Sister Wives: 1 vs 1 trailer
“There was no backdoor deal,” insists Janelle, 56, in the first look at the reunion special, referencing Kody’s Season 20 claim that the pair were left behind. Mary Brown i Robyn Brownback and planned to sell their joint ownership of Coyote Pass without his intervention.

The sale of the property isn’t the trailer’s only point of contention; There is drama surrounding Meri and her fallout with Robyn after she and Kody break up in 2023.
“Do you understand why Meri might have a right to distrust you?” Krishnan asks Robyn in the video. “No! I was having an online conversation,” Robyn counters.
Apparently he’s referring to Robyn The Meri catfishing scandal in 2015 in which she corresponded online with a person she thought was a man in the middle of her marriage to Kody. The scandal previously rocked Meri and Kody’s romance, with Meri later claiming that Robyn made it worse by spreading rumors that she was having a physical affair, which Meri denied.

Janelle Brown had an “ex-wives club” meeting with Meri Brown on the latest episode of Sister Wives where they took shots at ex-husband Kody Brown and his “type.” During the Sunday, October 5 episode of the TLC series, Janelle, 56, called Meri, 54, to discuss the sale of their Coyote Pass property, claiming that Kody, 56, did not want to call Meri (…)
Meri’s problems with Robyn seem to run even deeper than her own catfish connection. According to the reunion trailer, Meri brings her best friend jen sit down with him and address his own experiences with Kody and Robyn over the years.
Jen reveals that she thinks Robyn is “submissive,” telling Krishnan, “I feel like it’s working for Kody.”
The accusation catches Kody by surprise, and he claims it’s “full of shit.”
Meri also has beef with Janelle in the trailer. Their drama stems from Meri revealing during the Season 20 reunion, which aired Sunday, that it was “very difficult” for Janelle to join her and Kody’s family shortly after Janelle divorced Meri’s brother. Adam Barber.
“Meri was more than willing to engage in, like, a heated conversation,” Janelle reveals in the reunion teaser.
Meanwhile, Meri points to her family past as the catalyst for her first arguments with Janelle.
“Oh, there might have been some emotions involved with the fact that she used to be married to my brother,” jokes Meri, referring to Janelle and Adam’s brief marriage in the early 1990s. Elsewhere in the trailer, fans see that Kody and Christine’s husband, David Woolleythey also haven’t buried the hatchet after their argument during Kody’s ex-wives apology tour this season.

“Any of his experience with his kids and any of his advice for me is something that I’m not interested in right now, because it’s like I’m on the opposite side of it,” Kody said of David during a December 2025 episode of the TLC series.
Even though this episode was filmed a while ago, David and Kody don’t seem to be on the best terms during the 1-on-1 special.
“David is a boy and boys think they have things sorted out. And plural marriage is the kind of thing that tells you you don’t know shit,” says Kody.
Meanwhile, Christine calls Kody’s apology tour “bulls***” and supports her husband amid the feud between him and Kody.
