Kim Kardashianthe best friend from a long time ago Allison Statter had a hair situation on her birthday, and Kardashian captured it all.
The 45-year-old Skims co-founder shared several photos and videos to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, January 11, documenting Statter’s 46th birthday celebrations.
In one videoStatter was seen blowing out the candles on her birthday cake when one of the candles accidentally ignited her hair. Fortunately, another person in the video quickly realized what was happening and put out the fire before it could cause significant damage. In the video, Statter appeared shocked, but later laughed off the incident.
“You’re on fire baby!!!!” Kardashian wrote about the video.
Kardashian and Statter have been friends since childhood. Statter’s mother, Shelly Azoffis a close friend of the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch Kris Jenner.
In 2016, Statter celebrated Kardashian’s 36th birthday by sharing pictures of the The reality star’s Sweet 16th 20 years earlier. She then posted several snaps, including a photo of the moment Kardashian received her first set of wheels, a BMW, courtesy of her late father. Robert Kardashian.
“Aunt Kris and Uncle Robert hosted a very nice lunch for Kim with all her friends and family at a popular Italian restaurant called Cicada,” Statter wrote in a post for Kardashian’s website, KimKardashianWest.com. “We would all have our Sweet 16s at Cicada! How cool that Kim is wearing a vintage dress LOL!”
“Kim was always a bit younger than us, with her birthday in October, so we were ready for her to turn 16 and not have to take her everywhere!” Statter recalled. “Kim didn’t think she had a car because her dad convinced her she didn’t need her own car at 16, so when Kim walked out after lunch to her new white BMW in the parking lot, she was SO surprised!!!”
In the decade-long post, Statter also recalled his longtime association with the Everything is fair actress
“Since Kim and I have grown up together and gone through some life milestones like getting our first jobs, moving into our first apartments, getting married, and having babies, it’s nice to look back on all our memories together,” she wrote. “His 16th birthday will always be a special memory because it was at a time in our lives where we didn’t have as much responsibility. We enjoyed every moment of our 16 years together!”
four years later, Kardashian and Statter collaborated in a makeup collection for Kardashian’s former beauty brand, KKW Beauty, which later became Kim’s Skkn.
“Collaborating with my best friend was so much fun,” Kardashian said in a 2020 press release announcing the KKW x Allison collection. “We had a lot of laughs looking at old photos and discussing how our makeup routines have evolved over the years.”
Statter added, “We had so much fun reminiscing about our special childhood memories while creating a set of products that encapsulated our lives now: busy, working women and moms on the go who want makeup that’s easy to apply and looks effortless and beautiful at the same time. I’m incredibly humbled and honored that Kim asked me to do this with her and I hope everyone loves it.”
