Kelsey Grammer does everything possible to navigate relationships with each of his eight children.
“I just do what I can, you know? I show up when I can show up,” Grammer, 70, said exclusively. Us Weekly at the gala of the Donar un smirn Foundation on Thursday, December 11. “I mean, I’m pretty busy. There’s a lot going on, but I try to get home in time to sit with the kids and tell them goodnight and get them up in the morning and give them cereal.”
He continued, “I try to be in that loop. My older kids… feel a little distant for everything, but that’s life. They’re big.”

Although Kelsey is mostly devoted to his younger children who still live at home, the actor has also worked to forge bonds with his now grown children.
“(I spend time with them) if I can,” he said we “It’s very important. I mean, it’s the most important thing we have: our family. And whether they feel it or not, it’s important that we’re together when we can.”
Kelsey hasn’t always been particularly close to her older children. Greer, 33, who starred on MTV’s uncomfortable, she claimed last month that she had previously been estranged from her father for 12 years.
“It’s a very famous name, but if you live (in our Malibu neighborhood), it’s like a very small town, a very tight-knit community. So everybody knows everybody,” Greer said. on the “Pretty Basic” podcast.. “And just like that, everyone knows all the drama.”

Kelsey now prioritizes her family life, recently bringing daughter Faith, 13, her eldest with Walsh, to the 48th Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month.
“This was her first red carpet last week,” he added on Thursday. “It was very nice.”
Faith will follow her red carpet debut with a festive winter season.

“(We’re) cutting down the tree on Christmas Day,” Kelsey teased we of your vacation plans. “I mean, we’re keeping it pretty simple this year. We usually have a big New Year’s Eve party. We probably won’t do that this year. We’ll just go into the new year and take it easy.”
The actor also hopes 2026 will bring more date nights with Walsh, 46, than she gave birth to the couple’s fourth childson Christopher, earlier this year.
“We have an 8-week-old, and that’s a challenge, but we’re planning,” Kelsey said of the couple’s hopes for the night. “We’re arguing with each other about when we might actually get a chance to go out and enjoy each other.”
Kelsey stepped out solo on Thursday, where she hosted the Give a Smile Foundation benefit.
“Rodney Raanan he’s my dentist and he gave me the smile I have,” Kelsey said we of the event, held at the Beverly Hilton in California. “I’m here to celebrate smiling.”
Rodney and his brother, a fellow dentist, Justin Raananco-founded the Giving A Smile Foundation and also spoke we at the event on Thursday.
“The Giving A Smile Foundation was born out of a deeply personal belief that every child deserves the dignity and confidence that comes from a healthy smile,” the brothers said. “Our mission is to remove barriers to care and give children not just dental treatment, but hope and opportunity.”
