Katie Thurston He updated his treatment plan in the middle of his battle against breast cancer.
“Today is my three -month scanning record. First time since my treatment plan began,” the first Single He wrote through his Instagram history on Monday, July 7. “We will find out if tumors are stable (without growth) or even possibly shrinking!”
Thurston added that whenever his scans appeared “good”, he could “continue” with his current Treatment plan. However, he explained that the option to finish the treatment will not be something he can do.
“As a stage 4 Girly, I will be in a life treatment plan, so it is a victory when something works,” he continued. “This is also why funding is so important for breast cancer research, because some of us run out of treatment.”
Thurston asked his followers “positive thoughts, prayers, energy, spells” and anything they had for her.
Thurston revealed in February that he was diagnosed with breast cancer. The following month, cancer extended to his liverwhich put Thurston on stage 4. Although the news was not something he expected, Thurston shared that he was optimistic in the Awakening of your diagnosis.
“I know stage four may seem very scary and can be,” he said in a March Instagram video. “However, since I am a positive triple and the liver spots are quite small and detected early, I feel very optimistic in my result.”
Before Check-in Monday Thurston was on vacation in Greece with her husband Jeff Arches. While preparing to leave, Thurston opened on how to prepare for her Next doctor’s appointment.
“Today we return home and often when I actually enter cancer, this is when things start to play,” he said in an Instagram video on Thursday, July 3. “When these monthly explorations or appointments come and go, I leave the next 28 days to forget -really I have cancer.”
Thurston added that she and her oncologist have never discussed the time she has left. “
“Stage 4 is a very frightening mindset sometimes, because it is forever,” he reflected as he said he continues to live his life to the fullest.
