Kathie Lee Gifford He shared a number of emotions in a moving Instagram post about two very important people in his life.

Kathie Lee then turned to the solemn anniversary of losing his late husband Frank, who died of natural causes on August 9, 2015 (Kathie Lee and Frank married for 29 years and shared two children: son Cody NewtonBorn in March 1990, and daughter Cassidy Erin, born in August 1993.)
“The second that I am glad is that my beautiful husband, Frank, returned home to Jesus 10 years ago and has been in peace and has been full of joy and glory from that same day. I find comfort in this,” he wrote. “So, I’m glad of the Lord and the way he cares about his loved ones, for his children. Bless you all today. And I hope you can find the same kind of fool in your lives.”
The Gifford family announced shortly after Frank’s death that the former NFL star suffered “the weakening effects of head trauma”, including chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Frank played the NFL for 12 seasons for the New York Giants, and then became a sports analyst at ABC’s Monday night’s football and Spacious sports world.

Since Frank’s death, Kathie Lee and his children have become proponents of CTE research. Frank previously married the university affectionate Maxine Avis Ewart – with whom he shared three children and fitness coach Astrid Lindley Before tie the knot with Kathie Lee in 1986.
