Austin Bradshaw is opening up about the life of his late influencer wife Kaelin BradshawWHO died on Monday, October 27.
“When he’s doing something, he’s at full speed … being the best at whatever he was doing,” Austin said. Avui.com in an interview published on Friday, October 31, telling the network that he and his late wife initially believed he could overcome his diagnosis.
Kaelin died nine months after being diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a type of bile cancer. She was 29 years old.
The widower told the network that Kaelin’s symptoms started with abdominal pain that he couldn’t resolve. The duo ended up in the emergency room, where they were told he had a torn oblique muscle and a “giant” growth on his liver. Doctors initially weren’t too concerned about the possibility that the growth could be cancerous, especially because of Kaelin’s young age.
Things went downhill four months later, when he experienced pain so bad he couldn’t stand it. According to Austin, his late wife returned to the emergency room and was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.
“It hit us like a brick wall because it’s not what you expect to hear when you’re 28,” Austin said. “From there, it was just nine months of fighting our asses. It’s a lot of fighting for a little reward each time. You fight so hard, and then it’s gone. You have to take those little wins. It got to the point where it seemed like the break was getting smaller and smaller, (but) we just kept going.”
The couple also met with specialists from different states, including Florida and New York.

He added: “I don’t think she ever thought she would be as big as she is.” Kaelin’s account has over 100,000 followers on the platform.
His wife also wanted to be open about what it’s like to fight cancer in her 20s.
“We were very hopeful about the outcome, and we wanted to share that truth … whether it’s chemotherapy or (the) initial cancer diagnosis, and just teach (others) to stay positive, stay strong and keep moving forward,” Austin explained.
Ultimately, the couple did their best to stay focused on the positive.
“We told each other over and over again, we have to be strong and we have to be positive, even though they’re just dealing with the worst parts of us,” she said. “She was strong, positive and beautiful from start to finish.”
