Justin Baldoni celebrated his 42nd birthday with the support of his family amid his ongoing legal drama.
“Happy Birthday, Justin Louis Baldoni,” Justin’s father, Sam Baldoniwrote via Instagram on Saturday January 24. “Being a new parent, I had no idea what to expect when Justin was born. His birth (our first) wasn’t easy. (My wife) Sharon was in labor for over 34 hours and we ended up (having a) c-section. As a result, I was able to hold him first and put his little face against his mother’s cheek.”
Sam continued, “It was a spiritual and very uplifting experience close to God. This boy filled our home with joy all those years ago and to this day his presence lights up not only our lives, but everyone around him.”
Sam also noted that she remains “so proud” of Justin over the years.
Justin Baldoni’s rise to fame wouldn’t be complete without a supportive family by his side. The actor gained popularity after playing Rafael Solano in Jane the Virgin from 2014 to 2019. “I am so proud of my son for the man he has become and how he continues to learn about life, about love, about family and friendship, and about showing up for the people he cares about the most,” Sam wrote. “I envy his continued dedication to his family and his love and admiration for it your truly perfect match, Emily (Baldoni)my beloved daughter-in-law.”
Sam closed her social media tribute with a note specifically aimed at Justin.
“Son, in a year full of turmoil and injustice you have remained firm in your faith knowing that truth and justice will prevail,” he concluded. “Happy birthday son, I love you with all my heart and soul.”
Justin has been embroiled in a messy legal battle with his old one End With Us to cost Blake Lively. After Justin directed the 2024 adaptation Colleen HooverThe 38-year-old Lively’s novel accused him of sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment and trying to destroy her reputation. (Justin and Lively played a couple in an abusive relationship in the film.)
Justin vehemently denied the allegations before filing a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively. After the Gossip Girl alum denied the allegations, a judge decided to dismiss the case in 2025.

While the legal battle continued, Justin remained grateful for the support of his inner circle.
“We’re just thankful to be with the family, man,” he said he told TMZ photographers last year “We have amazing friends, family and faith.”
justin’s mom Sharon Baldonihe even shared a birthday message of his own on Saturday.
“Happy birthday dear Justin,” Sharon wrote in one Instagram statement “I never imagined I would see the words, ‘Justice for Justin’ from people all over the world in support of my son. I thank you all from the bottom of my soul to those who have stood up for him to this extent in these difficult times.”
Justin’s longtime friend and partner, Travis Van Winklehe also wrote a touching birthday tribute.
“On your birthday, I want to express how meaningful our friendship has been,” Van Winkle, 43, wrote via Instagram. “It’s been your relationship with your parents and friends, your service to others, your kindness, heart, faith, integrity (and) it could go on. It’s the way you move through life, both quietly and sometimes loudly that influences how I live mine.”
