Justin Baldoni once sprung Blake Lively’s beauty, according to a recently released voice note.
“Hi Blake, I hope the fitting went really well, thanks for sending me these photos,” Baldoni, 42, told Lively, 38, in the message, which was obtained by TMZ on Monday February 2. “That was really cool. I was at the department head meeting waiting for them to load and I got chills when I saw it. You look beautiful. It’s going to work great.”
According to TMZ, the voice memo was sent earlier End With Us began shooting in 2023. Baldoni, who co-starred and directed Lively in the film, appeared to be discussing Gossip Girl alum wardrobe
Us Weekly Baldoni and Lively have been contacted for comment.
The memo is the latest unsealed court filing and comes just days after Us Weekly obtained a separate memo from Lively in which she spoke fondly to Baldoni while discussing how overwhelmed she was with returning to work and filming back-to-back projects after giving birth to her fourth baby. (Lively shares daughters James, 11, Inez, 9, and Betty, 6, and son Olin, 2, with her husband Ryan Reynoldss.)
“Hey. I hope you’re doing so well. I just wanted to connect just to put something on your radar. Like, between us. Like, this is so premature to even share with you. All good, all good. The title is great, good, great,” Lively began in the message, which was sent in February 2023 during pre-production. “But I was talking to Ryan (Reynolds) and I said, ‘I don’t know if I should share this,’ but he said, ‘You have a lot of confidence, you know. Fill it in.”
She continued, “Just the idea of going back to work every day right away and also the idea of, you know, getting ready for our movie and wanting to work out every day and all that and yet being on set every day. I’m like, ‘What have I done?’ The only reason I’m doing (that movie) before is because I gave them my word and I wasn’t going to go back on it and I felt like I had to make it work. But having a week off in between is a lot. It’s a lot.”
Lively explained that she was “panicking” with the “reality” of the shooting approaching, and confessed that she really just wanted to “focus” on End With Us.
“Obviously, there are selfish reasons why I’m telling you this,” he joked. “If you happen to be like, ‘Oh my God, if I could go two weeks earlier, that would be great,’ then amazing. And if it is, it is.”
She added: “Selfishly, what I would like about this is that Ryan and I have been really stressed about spending a month apart, too. None of that is your problem. That’s why I’m talking to you as a friend right now more than anything, but the idea of spending all of June apart is a lot. The most we’ve ever done is less than two weeks.”
At the end of her voice note, Lively concluded: “I really like talking to you. Not talking to you, that’s so sad. That’s my social interaction these days, just talking on voice notes. Okay, I hope you’re okay. Send my love to your family that doesn’t know me. Take care, bye.”
The voice memos from the two co-stars were sent nearly a year before Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and trying to ruin her reputation. Baldoni denied all the allegations against him and countersued Lively, but the lawsuit was dismissed in June 2025. Lively’s lawsuit remains ongoing, and the couple is scheduled to go to trial in May.
The voice memos are just one small piece of recent unsealed documents containing thousands of emails, text messages, depositions and more related to the case. Reynolds, 49, taylor swift, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate i End With Us author Colleen Hoover they are only some mentioned or highlighted in the documents.
