JoJo Swa shared a health update after being hospitalized with a ovarian cyst rupture last week
“It’s been nothing less than an eventful weekend! 🤍,” Siwa, 22, captioned a carousel of photos posted on Instagram on Tuesday, December 2.
The “Karma” singer continued, “Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers! I’m happy to say I’m doing a little better, I’m not clear yet, but I’m feeling better and doing well!”
“I had a bit of a scare with a fever the night after I went to the hospital, but I slept and woke up with no fever and ever since! 🤍 resting when I can and drinking lots and lots of electrolytes,” she continued. “Let’s keep pushing! Thanks for watching and messaging me…it’s been a beautiful circle of love and support that’s helped me heal!🤍”

Siwa first revealed that she was hospitalized on November 29 TikTok video, revealing that he had been in “excruciating” pain on November 27, just one day before his performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.
JoJo and her mom, Jessalynn Siwacall 911, and the Dance Moms alum she was taken to a local hospital, where she discovered that “one of her ovaries had a cyst that was bursting and bleeding into her stomach.”
“That’s what was causing the excruciating pain: every time the blood in the stomach moves, that’s bleeding from the stomach,” JoJo said in her video. “It’s a brutal pain. In short, (the issue) should turn on its own. It should stop on its own.”
JoJo thanked the hospital’s medical staff for making sure she was well enough to perform at the Mall of America, where she sang her new holiday song, “Message to the World (Little Drummer Girl).”
“Today we’re going to work and we’re going to dance again. I’m afraid how this dance is going to affect me because I’m going to dance, but it’s only for an hour. We’re going to do it,” she said in the TikTok video, noting she wasn’t “100 percent” yet.
“We’re going to keep pushing, and if I throw up or if I get this excruciating pain again, I’ve got to go right back, but we should be fine,” he added at the time.
In Tuesday’s Instagram post, JoJo shared photos from her hospitalization, including one of her being helped into the back of an ambulance, and snaps from her performance at the Mall of America.

“Aside from all the drama with my Cyster… I’ve had a great week touring different dance studios across America and teaching the choreography to my new Christmas song ‘Message To The World (Little Drummer Girl)’,” she wrote in the caption. “It hasn’t been easy and I’ve been up and down with pain, but seeing the SMILES on the kids’ faces as they dance and hang out makes it all worth it!!”
