Jill Zarin is speaking out after his controversial review of Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl 2026 His performance resulted in him being fired from the upcoming edition of E! Real Housewives of New York City series of meetings, titled The Golden Life.
“They didn’t even give me a chance,” Zarin, 62, said in contact in a statement on Tuesday, February 10, about the review, which was posted on her social media accounts before the reality TV star took it down. “I took it out right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”
News broke on Tuesday, February 10 that Zarin, 62, would he will no longer be filming The Golden Life with his co-stars, incl Ramona Singer, Kelly Bensimon, Luann de Lesseps i Sonja Morgan.
“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with its involvement in The Golden Life”, the producers said in a statement Us Weekly. “We remain committed to delivering the series in accordance with our company’s standards and values.”
The decision came after Zarin publicly criticized Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance on Sunday, February 8.
In a since-deleted video, Zarin described the record-breaking show as “the worst halftime show.”
“I don’t think it was appropriate to have him in Spanish and, frankly, … grab his G-zone (groin) … I think it was totally inappropriate. You have all these kids watching the Super Bowl, and it doesn’t need to be grabbed every five seconds because it’s so unsafe. Really,” she said. “I don’t speak Spanish. I wish I knew the words he was saying. To me, it felt like a political statement because there were literally no white people in the whole thing. I’m not taking sides, one way or the other. … I think it was an ICE thing. I think the NFL sold out, and it’s very sad.”
During his performance, Bad Bunny surprised the audience with special guests, among them Ricky Martin, Jessica Alba, Peter Pascal i Lady Gaga.

“IMO loved it (so much),” Shapiro, 32, wrote via his Instagram story on Monday, February 9, along with a clip from the show. “The cinematography was fantastic. It was like they put a filter on it. It looked like a movie. The best halftime show in years. Which, honestly, it’s weird to even say it was like a real performance with a story and actors and direction, the lighting everything was perfect.”
The Golden Life is expected to continue with de Lesseps, 60, Singer, 69, Bensimon, 57, and Morgan, 62, as they reunite their formerly New York-based group of friends in Palm Beach, Florida.
The 10-episode series will begin filming this spring in South Florida.
