Jennifer Lawrence it is not in all trends.
Lawrence, 35, opened up about her views on fashion — and Y2K fads — while talking to Harper’s Bazaar in a new interview published on Monday, November 3.
“Skinny jeans are dead, which I’m happy about,” she said, also telling the publication that she’s here to wear dresses over pants. “I don’t want someone to be able to tell with absolute clarity the size difference between the thigh and the ankle.”
The actress also shared that she likes to layer a few pieces, and was even spotted rocking a brown cardigan over her matching sweater on Oct. 29.
“It’s a sweater over a sweater,” she explained of her look. While she’s fine with seeing a dress over jeans or layered tops, Lawrence noted that she “didn’t wear a skirt over a skirt.”
A trend that has made her life easier, especially as a mother of two, is permanent jewelry. (Lawrence share children Cy, 3, and another son born in April with her husband Cooke Maroney.)
“I’m in a phase where I’m wearing more permanent jewelry, rather than changing,” she said, talking about her “ear cuff” and “ankles” that she wears “every day.”
Lawrence shared that she gets her fashion inspiration from seeing the outfits of people in New York City and the characters she plays.
“It happens every time. It’s something I have to seriously monitor. I see it happen while I’m filming, and then I look back at the footage and I’m like, ‘Who is that?'” he shared.
