James Anderson will first emerge Lancashire in a professional cricket when he steps as a skipper for the next two county championship championships.
The lead test test in England, 41, will be replaced for Marcus Harris, who returned to Australia to the birth of his second child.
Anderson will lead Lancashire – sitting another bottom of dividing two with five draws and two defeats of seven games from the week, and then for the match opposite Derbishire in Chesterfield from 29. June.
Peceman played only one championship this season – taking five wickets in a home conflict with Derbishire – after they missed the wounds of the calf.
Anderson, however, inserted 10 wickets in four vitality games in the Red Rose County, with three-meters wačema v. Worcestershire, Northamptonsshire and Durham.
He will become the third captain of the Red Ball in Lancashire this term, after Harris and Keaton Jennings, and the latter dropped off the bad club in the season.
Temporary chief coach Steven Croft, who is in temporary charge after leaving Benkenstein, said Anderson to BBC Sport: “It’s exciting for him and us.
“He’s a captain just once and it was in Presezone T20 bag in Dubai, so it would be nice for Jimmy and nice for guys. It’s obviously a lot to offer in the field.
“It will be a proud time for him. It is obviously not all in Jimmy, but it also helps his presence, especially as a captain, is massive reinforcement for other guys.”
