For more than 21 months, many of the international media danced around the truth about the war on Israel’s Gaza. Old Newsroom Clich – “If they were bleeding, they were leading” – for Western media newsroom, Ukraine was more applied to Ukraine than Gaza. When the Palestinians were bombed in their homes, the entire families were buried under it, the coverage slowly, cautiously, and often buried in the “both sides”.
But when the images of the Palestinian children with starvation began to emerge – the faces, the particles of the skeleton, the empty tank – something changed. The photographs were very spectacular, very undeniable. Western audiences were dealt with what the siege of Gaza was really. And once, the media gatekeepers could not look completely away.
The attention of the world, however, alerted Israel to Israel and deployed a new “Hasbara” operation. The laughter means “explanation”, but in practice it is about erasing. With the guidance of Tel Aviv, the Israeli supporter media operative proved to be evidence of drought. This method was completely aurwelli: just don’t compete with facts. Compete the eyes that see them.
We were told that there was no fasting in Gaza. It does not matter that the Israeli ministers had publicly promised to block food, fuel and drugs. It doesn’t matter that the trucks have been stopped for a few months, sometimes the Israeli colonies have erupted on a wide day.
Israeli officials officials, while talking to Western media in polish English, assured the public that all this was fake, as if some Hamas had a helpful organization in Gaza, foreign doctors and every journalist.
The propaganda machine felt that one of the photos had hit gold. A skeletal boy Mohammed Jakiaya Ayub Al-Mattuke was seen in a New York Times image. Israeli intelligence sources whispered in a friendly shop: he is not hunger. It has a medical condition. It is as if its terrible position accepts.
The Times went ahead and added the editor’s note to “repair” the record.
How does laughter work – not by convincing people, but tired of them. Changing every fact in a dispute, consecutive to each image. Rejecting that he is hungry by a government news by pushing the editors to “balance”.
Imagine the weather report where a source says, “It is raining,” and another insists, “No, he is Sunny,” everyone stands out, soaked from torrential rains. Gaza is the soaked truth, and still a much of the Western news media is obliged to quote the Weatherman in Tel Aviv.
Each honest report is met with emails, phone calls and a barrage of social media smars, designed to create enough doubts to pull all editors back.
But it is not innocent claiming that “he is not hungry. He is just sick.” This is an entry.
The child who is in a medical condition, which looks like a pod, is deprived of not only the nutrition he needs but also from the medical care. It is strictly in the neighborhood of hunger and medium.
Israel banned all foreign media and reported that more than 200 Palestine journalists were killed, only Palestine journalists in Gaza. In a rare joint statement, the BBC, AFP and Associated press warned that their own employees had to “face the same terrible situation as they are covering”.
Last week, these photos were allowed to the height of outcry, Israel allowed with help – some airprops and 30 to 50 trucks when the United Nations said 500 to 600. Some trucks blocked by Jews were never blocked.
Meanwhile, a parallel mechanism has been created for the distribution of help by Israeli-accredited American contractors, which intentionally creates dangerous and chaotic conditions that lead to the daily assassination of the help seekers. The crowd of starvation Palestinians has gathered together, only Israeli soldiers shot.
And yet, the refusal is permanent. The official line is that this is not hunger. This is something different – uninformed but certainly not a crime of war.
In Ethiopia, in Somia, in Yemen, the world in South Sudan has seen drought in the past. Photos in Gaza are in the same category. The difference is that here, a powerful state of starvation is actively trying to convince us that our own eyes are lying to you.
The objective of the people is not a goal to convince it, but to create enough doubts to escape the outcry. If the fact can be confused, then the pressure on Israel is reduced. That is why every newsroom that avoids the word “hunger” becomes an unknown companion.
In Gaza, starvation is not a secondary loss. This is a tool of war, calculated in calories, trucks blocked and destroyed in the fields.
Israel’s strategy depends on lenses as well as controlling the border. This is enough to allow journalists for airproping to filming the destruction below.
For a short moment, the publication of those photos of the starvation of the starvation reduced the propaganda wall and gave minimal discounts. But the siege is on, hunger increases and collective killings increase. Now the Israeli government has decided to take another ground attack to capture the city of Ghaza, and it will only spoil the genocide.
History will record drought in Gaza. These flour and sugar prices, children’s names and help trucks will be remembered back. And you will notice how the world can be told themselves, in the middle of the torrential downpour, the sky becomes clear.
