An old man killed four more people wounded when police said a terrorist robbed attack on the northern Israeli city of Haifa.
It happened to Hamifratz Central Training and bus station, and the attacker was shot dead in the security area, police said.
The victim that died was about 70, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said. A 15-year-old boy and a man and a woman in their 30s are in a serious condition, while a 70-year-old woman is roughly hurt, it’s plus.
The police say that the attacker is a man Druze from Shfaram who has recently returned from abroad. Such attacks of a member of the DRUZE community are rare.
Druze is an ethnic and religious group whose belief is an offshoot at Shia Islam. About 150,000 people live in Israel and the occupied Golan Heights, consisting about 1.5% of the population.
One Witness told the Walla News website in Israel that the attacker traveled to Haifa on a bus from Shfaram, about 10km (6 miles) to the east of Haifa.
He started stoning passengers when the bus arrived at the station, then went out and attacked others in Concio, the Witness said.
The Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “I sent my deep appreciation to the family of the person killed by the shocked terrorist attack in Haifa.
“We will continue to fight everywhere against those who seek to kill us and defeat them.”
There is no immediate claim from any armed group, but Hamas describes the attack as “hero” and a “natural response” of the so-called crimes of Israel.
It came between deadlock between Hamas and Israel to move forward with the six-week Cestifire in Gaza.
Israel stopped help from entering Gaza after Hamas rejected Netanyahu’s office a US suggestion for an extension in the first stage, which ended Saturday night.
Hamas accuses Israel to renovate the agreement and say that the second round should precede.
