Israeli prosecutors on Thursday indicted Bezalel Zini, the brother of the head of Israel’s domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet, for allegedly smuggling cigarettes into Gaza. Zini, an Israeli army reservist, is suspected of smuggling cigarettes worth about $117,400 into the besieged Palestinian territory, where the entry of all goods and people is controlled by Israel.
