Isabella Ferrer claimed Justin Baldoni made an “inappropriate” comment about a teenage sex scene while filming End With Us.
According to a transcript of Ferrer’s deposition obtained by Us Weekly On Tuesday, Jan. 20, a lawyer asked the actress if she remembered feeling “uncomfortable” after Baldoni described one of her intimate scenes as “hot.”
“It didn’t feel appropriate in a work environment, and given that it wasn’t necessarily as a note of any kind related to my performance,” Ferrer said, according to the documents. “It felt out of place and weird to hear about a scene, especially a scene that’s meant to be a PG scene about two young teenagers having a very innocent intimate experience. It felt out of place to hear my director say that as something personal to me and my co-star.”
Ferrer explained that the scene in question involved his character, the young version of Lily, whose older counterpart was played by Blake Lively“losing my virginity”.
“The way it was described in the script and broken down with the intimacy coordinator is that it shouldn’t have been sexy or hot or any terms like that and it was much more meant to be innocent, leaning more towards a PG intimate scene,” he said.
Ferrer also stated that a second incident happened with Baldoni’s management.
“There was a scene where my character Lily is in her kitchen and the other character played by my co-star. Alex Neustaedter she’s making cookies and there was a note that was a change in the scene where she was spooning cookie dough to me,” she recalled. “Justin offered to lick the cookie dough off the spoon and look at my co-star in a way that I thought was a little inappropriate given the context of the scene.”
Although Ferrer found the management “inadequate”, he did not file a formal complaint against Baldoni. The actress added that she wasn’t “embarrassed” by his comment, she just felt it was inappropriate.
“It didn’t make sense to me in the scene we were shooting that my character would do that kind of thing given that he was 16 and in high school,” he said.
Ferrer also claimed that Neustaedter told her that Baldoni encouraged her to get to know her better and made a suggestive proposition that Ferrer found inappropriate.
“This is according to Alex a couple of months later when there was a time when I was away from them and we were getting ready to go to Jersey City… for the first time,” she alleged. “Justin pulled Alex aside and said he wanted Alex to get to know me really well, and yes, he winked.”
Ferrer claimed that he interpreted Baldoni’s wink as an insinuation of “something of that sort that I found inappropriate”.
we Baldoni’s rep has been contacted for comment.
Ferrer’s claims are part of Baldoni’s ongoing legal battle with Lively. In December 2024 Lively sued Baldoni, accusing her End With Us co-star and director of sexual harassment on set. The actress also claimed that Baldoni orchestrated an alleged smear campaign against her.
Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations and pushed back against Lively. Baldoni’s lawsuit was dismissed by the judge in June 2025. Lively’s case remains ongoing and is scheduled to go to trial in March.
