Is the global financial system unraveling? | Business and Economy

As the United States pushes its ‘America First’ agenda, its partners are turning to China and forming new alliances.

It was built on democracy, open markets and cooperation – led by America.

But the rules-based global order created after World War II is under strain. Conflicts are increasing. International norms are being tested. Trade tensions are rising. And alliances are changing.

Meanwhile, China is presenting itself as a stable partner.

Many warn that the world order is beginning to break down.
