Sean and Veronika got married in 2022
Three years after Sean and Veronika announced their engagement, the two tied the knot on June 4, 2022, in Los Angeles.
Former NFL player Tom Raponi officiated at the wedding, and Odell Beckham, Jr. famously crashed the celebration event.
Sean said the guest list was limited to the captains and “a couple of other guys” who were retired, but to Beckham (who wasn’t officially on the list) that was irrelevant.
“I love Odell and so only in Odell’s way could he be the star of our wedding,” McVay told the “I’M AN ATHLETE” podcast shortly after the wedding. “So O showed up, crashed the wedding, and I loved it.”
Veronika announced her engagement on her Instagram story while the couple was on vacation in France, showing off her new ring.
“I can’t wait to call him my husband,” she wrote at the time.
She added in a separate post: “We’ve been enjoying this amazing vacation so much that I haven’t had time to make this post but… The man of my dreams, my best friend and the love of my life asked me to marry him… And I said YES!!! to be his McBae forever. Here’s to our life together!”
The couple share two children
Sean and Veronika have welcomed two sons since their wedding in 2022. The first, Jordan, was born in October 2023. The second, Christian, was born in December 2025.
“What a blessing. What a beautiful thing. It’s wild,” Sean said at a news conference after Jordan’s birth. “I don’t even think you can put words to it.”

Veronika is Ukrainian
Veronika was born in Ukraine and came to the United States in 2009.
She has been open about her support for Ukraine amid the conflict with Russia, including while presenting at the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards with Sean.
“Before we announce the nominees, we’d like to take a moment to talk about what’s on our minds: Veronika’s home country of Ukraine,” Sean said during the show.
“I am proud of my Ukrainian compatriots and admire their strength,” said Veronika. “They have faced unimaginable adversity with such profound grace and courage; their fight and the way they have brought the world together is truly inspiring. There is no place in our world for this kind of violence, and our prayers go out to all the lives that have been lost.”
The couple met at university
Veronika and Sean first met while studying at George Mason University in Virginia, and Sean was an assistant coach for the Washington Commanders.
Their relationship grew from there, and in 2017 (at least four years into their relationship), Sean became the youngest head coach in NFL history by taking the job with the Rams. That year, he won AP Coach of the Year.
Since then, the two have been together for an NFC championship in 2018 and a Super Bowl win in 2022.
