Irina Shayk ditch the conventional and embrace the extraordinary in a provocative new bondage-themed photo shoot for V Magazine.
The 40-year-old model graces the cover of this month’s issue, wearing an Alaïa perforated vinyl ruffle top and ribbed skirt paired with C.Ford lace-up leather gloves and a d’Alba Global Co Ltd White Truffle Nourishing Treatment Mask.
Legendary photographer Steven Klein captured the photos that aim to “explore the seductive tension between touch, texture and the power of exposure.”
“Steven and I didn’t just shoot images, we built a character and a world together,” Shayk said of his cover shoot with Klein, 60. “A true collaboration! Developed through their shared art direction and concept, the story captures a fearless, leather-clad femininity: bold, free, and fully in the age of ‘yes.’
Perhaps one of the most iconic shots is an image with Shayk in just a Jean Paul Gaultier leather cape. She went bare and dressed in bold black boots and bold, eye-catching accessories, including a dominatrix-inspired choker necklace.

In another portrait, Shayk channeled her inner biker kid astride a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, rocking a micro-studded leather triangle bikini paired with a belted corset and the same choker necklace. She completed her look with thigh-high boots, a sleek updo and dark glam that complemented her chocolate-coloured hair.
“Everything we did in this story came from hours of Steven and I talking about her — the character we built together. Who is she? What does she love? How does she do it. move around the world? Shayk pondered.
“She’s bold. She’s masculine in her own way. She lives in leather,” added the model. “She goes out… unapologetically, totally herself.”
Shayk explained how the shoot was a liberating experience for her, especially after her milestone birthday on January 6. The Victoria’s Secret Angel is a proud mother to 8-year-old daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, whom she shares with his ex Bradley Cooperborn March 2017.
“There are no more lines. There are no more boxes of (being just a) ‘model’ or ‘just that.’ If something brings me joy, if I feel loved, and if I have a creative partner by my side who inspires me, then I want to explore it. Sports Illustrated bomb said
“For me, (this story) represents a kind of wild femininity. Creating this woman with Steven opened up so many visual windows,” she added. “It was like entering another world.”
She also posed for a booty-baring image next to one of Klein’s black horses, showing off her backside clad in a tiny thong paired with a black apron and zip-up boots.
“The funny part is, I can’t even ride a bike, and horses still intimidate me,” Shayk said. “My daughter rides (horses) and is always trying to talk me into joining her. Still, I’ve always dreamed of being next to one of Steven’s horses, capturing that iconic image.”
