Vladimir Putin says Iran has helped an offer to Russia to work together in air defense and said anti-air systems are not covered under the strategic Partnernership Moscow and Tehran signed in January.
Putin, the Russian president, said to a television interview later Wednesday that the agreement did not hide the defense.
“We have previously recommended our friends in Iran to work together in anti-air systems, but our companions do not show any great interest,” he said.
“As perpecting individual supplies, yes, we are actually doing those in time, but it does not have to do with the crisis today,” Putin added without the offering.
