US President Donald Trump said on Monday that he had reached a trade deal with India to reduce tariffs after Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to halt purchases of Russian oil because of the war in Ukraine. He said levies on Indian goods would drop to 18 percent from 25 percent under the agreement.
