India is killed by Jordan victim to Job Scam, the family says

The family of an India man shot while the illegal crossing of Israel says he is a victim of a job job.

Thomas Gabriel Perera was killed by Jordan security forces at the Israeli border on 10 February.

He was the one who brought Jordan by the promise of a useful job, and if he did not do it, he tried to enter Israel when he found his family, his family told the BBC.

Indians reports fall for job scams and illegal entry into other countries to look for work more commonly.

Perera, 47, was accompanied by his brother’s edison brother, who was injured in the incident. Mr. Charlas was treated at the hospital and spent a prison week before he was sent back to India.

The two men from the state of southern India in Kerala where they work as auto-rickshaw drivers.

Mr. Charlas said the BBC he paid 210,000 rupees of an agent before they left India, and payed an additional $ 600 after reaching Jordan on a tourist visa.

But when two men came to the capital Amman in Jordan in early February, the agent told them unemployed.

The agent suggests they should try Israel’s illegal crossing, claiming to have many opportunities there.

On February 10, Mr Charlas and Perera joined a group driving several hours at the Jordan border of Israel.

“We took us a car. It was a long distance. We rode the car at 2pm and reached the midnight location. Then we walked in a shore. Then we walked in the dark.

The BBC saw a letter sent to Perera’s family through the Indian Embassy in Jordan. It says “Security forces tried to stop them but did not listen to the warning, opened them to the guards”.

“A bullet hit Mr Thomas (Perera) on his head and he died in the area. ”

Mr Charlas, however, argued this account and said there was “no such caution (from guards). They just shot. ”

“I slowly walked behind others in the dark … when I hit the bullet and I lost consciousness. I didn’t have to explain what happened to Thomas, ” he said.

The BBC begs the foreign Ministry of India and authorities in the Jordan commentary on Mr Charlasas’s allegation.

Mr. Charlas said it was later taken to a hospital for treatment and then moved amongst Jordan government offices before being moved in jail, where he was saved in 18 days.

While in prison, he contacted his wife and told him what had happened, and his wife contacted the Indian embassy officials.

Mr. Charlas was exiled to India on 28 February.

Perera’s body is in the Jordan. In response to BBC questions, the foreign Ministry of India says they work to return the Indian body as soon as possible.

“I was told to take one or two days for the process of documentation and other things to finish,” Randhir Jaisual, President Speaker said.

On Monday, Shashi Tharoor, Parliament member represent Perera Thiruvananthapuram, saying that members of the Jordan Indian embanks are in Jordan authenticate the victim identity And that began the process of transporting the body.

Despite many government warnings, many Indians still fall victim to job scams and removes the risk of entering countries illegally to be found.
