Hundreds of trips were canceled across Germany while airport workers came from a wage beating country, which placed a major obstruction of air travelers.
The action of the industry, led by Verdi union, began unexpectedly on Sunday at Hamburg airport, before extending a country strike.
Passengers in Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and other major hubs are encouraged to not travel to airports, which have severe ruins. Frankfurt, the busiest airport in Germany, said passengers could not board flights and transfers “nearly sure” will be affected.
Verdi, representing the public sector and transport workers, are in a continuous dispute about wages and working conditions.
