January 22 marks the ninth edition of La Nuit de la Solidarite a Paris (Night of Solidarity in Paris), an initiative of the Paris City Hall to raise awareness of the needs of the homeless and an attempt to change the perception of those living on the margins of society. FRANCE 24 reporters Florence Gaillard and Jonathan Walsh followed the two homeless men to find out more. Romain is 45 years old and follows a rehabilitation program, while Valerie (62) is still struggling to survive on the streets.
