Tatiana Schlossbergthe husband of Jordi Moranhe asks his loved ones to help keep his wife’s memory “alive”. his death at the age of 35.
“We said goodbye to Tatiana yesterday. The heartbreak doesn’t begin to capture the sadness we feel. Our hearts go out to Caroline (Kennedy) and Ed and George and Josie and Eddie and Rose and Jack (Schlossberg),” read one message on social networks shared by Mary Shriverbrother of Tim Shriver on Tuesday, January 6.
Tim, 66, continued: “She was so smart and so funny, just like her mother. She was so thoughtful and so bright, just like her father. She had faith in the sacredness of nature and also in her creator. She was ready to take on the great work of our time: to speak the truth without fear.”
The activist and producer said Tatiana’s loved ones could not find any “sense” in her death, “only indescribable sadness and all our faith”.
He went on to reveal how Tatiana’s husband encouraged family and friends to keep her in their hearts.
“Her husband George asked us all to be a part of keeping her alive by playing and doing crosswords (under 5 minutes), being the best friend in the world, listening kindly, speaking the truth, laughing hysterically and so much more,” Tim wrote. “We promise to carry her with us in this new year and in the years to come. And we invite you to join us in living each day with gratitude, love, humor and action. We love you Tatiana.”
Tim included two photos alongside his heartfelt tribute, one of which was a snapshot from when the family members were younger.
Tatiana, the granddaughter of former president John F. Kennedyrevealed in a November 2025 essay for a The New Yorker who diagnosed him with acute myeloid leukemia. He died a month later, on December 30.
Along with Moran and their two children, Tatiana is survived by her parents, brothers and members of the extended Kennedy familymany of whom gathered in New York City on Monday, January 5 for a private memorial service.
Mary, whose mother, Eunice Kennedy Shrivershe was JFK’s sister, previously shared an emotional goodbye to Tatiana via Instagram when news of her death broke.
“I can’t understand it. I can’t understand it at all. None. Zero… Whatever your faith, please pray for Tatiana and her grieving family,” he wrote. “Tatiana was the light, the humor, the joy. She was smart, wicked, as they say, and sassy. She was fun, funny, loving, caring, a perfect daughter, sister, mother, cousin, niece, friend, everything.”
Maria pointed it out Tatiana’s spirit would live on through the people who knew her best. “Those of us left behind will make sure that Eddie and Josie know what a beautiful and brave spirit their mother was and always will be. She is looking after her extraordinary mother, Caroline,” he added. “May we all hold Tatiana’s family in our collective embrace not only today, but in the days to come, and may each of you reading this know how lucky you are to be alive right now. Please pause and honor your life. It is truly a gift. ♥️.”
In a separate post on Monday, Maria reflected on the grieving process. “As anyone who has struggled with grief, sadness or despair knows, once you’re down, it’s a tough climb,” she wrote. “Heartbreak hits us all in different ways and at different times. When it does, we have to stop and cry. We have to honor our pain. And then, when we can, we have to find a way to slowly back away. But we can’t do it alone. It’s impossible. We rise with the help of others through kindness, friendship, support, and grace. Life calls out to us so much throughout this new year. the menu.”
