Jessa Duggar he can have his hands full afterwards welcoming baby number 6but she’s not letting overwhelm stop her from reaching her fitness goals.
“I’ve managed to lose about 15 pounds in the last two months,” the 33-year-old former reality star shared on Tuesday, January 6. YouTube videorevealing the details of her postpartum weight loss journey. “Now I’m only about five kilos from my pre-pregnancy weight, which always feels great, it’s so exciting to be close to those goals.”
Jessa welcomed her sixth child, Eddie, with her husband Ben Seewald to August 2025 thereafter seven and a half hours of work. The couple, who married in November 2014, also share children Spurgeon, 10, Henry, 8, Ivy, 5, Fern, 4, and George, 2.
The TLC alum said she oscillates between being “really strict” when it comes to her nutrition and indulging in a full-blown “cheat day,” noting that eating dairy-free has not only been beneficial for her 5-month-old’s eczema, but has also been “super useful” for her as she works toward her wellness goals.

Jessa Seewald/YouTube“With Eddie’s eczema not really getting better after cutting out dairy, the doctor wondered if eggs might be a problem, so I’ve cut out eggs as well,” she said. “It’s not the funnest thing in the world to have to restrict my diet away from candy and ice cream and everything, but it’s also really good for me. It’s probably the healthiest diet I’ve ever been on. I tell myself this is for a season and it’s good.”
In addition to the changes in her diet, Jessa said she’s been eating oatmeal for breakfast and keeping up with her workouts at home. For lunch, she makes a salad with chicken or salmon and makes a similar meal for dinner, revealing that she often incorporates quinoa into her dishes.
Jessa said she’s “never been a workout girl,” so she turned to personal trainer app Trainwell to help keep her accountable.
The mother-of-six said her husband was “very into” fitness when first they started datingrevealing that he exercised more at the time, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.
“Ben has always been a lot more consistent,” Jessa added. “He usually trains for two or three days at least.”
He noted that they try to bring the kids when possible, revealing that YouTube videos were also their go-to for a while. Jessa, however, said she found herself in a “rut” doing the same routine instead of upping the ante with more challenging sets.
In her new YouTube video, Jessa shared snippets of her current workout regimen, including light weight lifting, front and side planks, Russian twists, as well as breathing exercises and side stretches.
She added: “It’s really not so much about the numbers on the scale as it is about keeping up with these babies.”
Jessa said she feels more energized, “stronger” and more “toned” thanks to her workouts and portion control, which has been a win-win.
