Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, would not say whether the women in the photos were victims of abuse, but added, “Our commitment from day one has been to remove any photos and information that could cause any harm to any victim.”
White House press secretary Abigail Jackson accused Democrats of “selectively releasing carefully selected photos that were randomly edited in an attempt to create a false narrative” and called it part of “the Democratic hoax against President Trump.”

Democrats have pledged to continue releasing the photos in the coming days and weeks as they look to pressure Trump over the Republican administration’s earlier refusal to release documents from the Epstein investigation. Garcia said his staff has reviewed about a quarter of the photos received from Epstein’s estate, including photos sent to him or in his possession.
“Donald Trump now needs to release these documents to the American public so that the truth comes out and we can truly get some sense of justice for the survivors,” Garcia added.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., who was instrumental in passing a bill requiring the public release of the documents, said it was a good sign that the Justice Department had sought to Grand jury materials released by multiple courts.
“The grand jury material is only a small portion of what the Department of Justice needs to release because the FBI and the Department of Justice may have evidence that they choose not to present to the grand jury because the evidence they have would implicate someone other than Epstein or Maxwell,” he said.
