Hilary Duff’s Francia Raisa costar opens up about Ashley Tisdale’s motherly drama


Hilary Duffthe old how i met your father to cost France Raisa has entered the chat.

Raisa, 37, shared a humorous video via TikTok and Instagram on Thursday, January 8, weighing in on the group drama of mothers fueled by a recent actress essay Ashley Tisdale French wrote for The Cut.

In the video, Raisa can be seen sitting in a car scrolling through her phone while lip-syncing to a line of Amanda Bynes‘, Viola Hastings, in the film She is the Man.

“Speaking as a completely objective third party with no vested interest in the matter, I’m not sure you and Olivia were good together,” the actress said in an audio clip of Bynes’ dialogue from the film. (In the scene, Bynes’ character tries to convince Channing Tatumthe handsome football player character, Duke Orsino, to not pursue his love rival, Olivia Lennox, played by Laura Ramsey.)

Raisa captioned the video: “Not a mom but… #fyp #thecut.”

Raisa and Duff, 38, played best friends in the Hulu short how i met your mother spinoff, which aired for two seasons from 2021 to 2023 before being canceled.

Duff and other stars, incl Mandy Moore i Meghan Trainorhave been the subject of much speculation on social media in the past week since Musical Baccalaureate Alum French, 40, ‘exposed’ a group of friends as toxic mothers. French didn’t single out anyone by name, but in the past she has documented play dates with Duff and company, all of whom have young children like her. (French has two daughters with her husband Christopher French.)

In the piece, French described the increasingly hostile dynamic between her and her other mom friends, prompting her to break away from the group.

“I remember being left out of a couple of group blogs, and I knew them because Instagram made sure to feed me every Instagram photo and story,” French wrote in a Jan. 1 essay for the cut. “I was starting to feel frozen out of the group, noticing all the ways they seemed to exclude me… I told myself it was all in my head, and it wasn’t a big deal. Still, I could feel a growing distance between me and the other members of the group, who didn’t seem to care that I wasn’t around much.”

The actress said she left the group after texting the other women that she thought it was “too secondary for me and I don’t want to be a part of it anymore.”

On Monday, January 5, the representative of the French denied TMZ that the article was related to Duff, Moore and Trainor.

before thursday Trainor, 32, chimed in the drama with a video of its own from TIkTok.

“I found out about the apparent drama at the moms group,” the singer wrote in a video of herself sitting at a desk and typing on her computer. Fittingly, the video was set to the tune of her song “Still Don’t Care.”

Meanwhile, Trainor’s husband Daryl Sabara told TMZ on Thursday, “There’s no drama here, I’m just trying to keep the kids happy.”

“I hope he’s okay, though,” he added, referring to the Frenchman.
