Haiti in political limbo: The mandate of the Transitional Council ends, there is no succession plan




Haiti has lacked elected government officials for three years, and the Transitional Presidential Council is nominally in charge. Despite this, armed gangs control large parts of the country, including parts of the capital, Port-au-Prince.
