Google ai test doppl app add Discovery ShopPlay feed

Google announced It’s Monday that introduces the Discovery feed that can be viewed on Doublean experimental app that uses AI to visualize how different outfits might look on you.

The Tech giant said the idea behind the new feed is to display recommendations so users can discover and virtually try new items. Almost everything in the feed works, with direct links to merchants.

The Discovery Feed features videos made from real products and shows outfits based on personal style. Google determines your style by analyzing the preferences you share with doppl and the things you interact with.

The move is a brief video feed, especially on Tiktok and Instagram, users to scroll through the visual feed and buy what they see. However, unlike Tiktok and Instagram, where real influencers display products, Google’s new feed contains only created content.

While some people may not like a feed made from ai, Google likely sees it as a surface product in a format that people already use. In addition, it makes sense to try a new e-commerce strategy, especially since it will lose ground to companies like Amazon and Social media platforms.

It should be noted that ai-generated videos are not new to doppl. When the app creates a picture of a virtual version of you in a different outfit, it can take this static image and turn it into an AI-generated video. The purpose of this is to give you an idea of how a better outfit will look in real life.

The new Discovery feed is rolling out to DPPL on iOS and Android in the US for users 18 and up.

Although a feed consisting of only AI-generated content seemed strange a year ago, the idea is now gaining traction. For example, Openai in September launched SoraAI video only social media platform. Meta also has a great short video feed called “Vibes“In the meta ai application.
